It Smells Like Shoes in Here

"Ack! Lanie, you're kneeing me in the ribcage! GET OFF!" Julie whined.

"I'm sorry but I can't move; I'm too squished!" Lanie whimpered.

"Oh you'll find space to move, otherwise you can say goodbye to those beautiful curls of yours...." Julie growled, sending Lanie into a fit of shrieks as she tried to wriggle away.

"At weast woo won't have Wanie's foof wuck in wour mouf!" I complained, glad that Lanie had showered this morning.

"Pardon?" I heard Samantha's elegant voice coming from near my feet. I sure hoped that my feet didn't smell.

"PAH!" I spat Lanie's foot out of my mouth, "I said 'At least you don't have Lanie's foot stuck in your mouth'!"

"I hope my feet are not intruding upon anyone's space and I do apologize if they are." Samantha was so polite, no wonder she was the Headmistress at Proper School. I wonder if she was always this proper or if there was ever a time where she was as crazy and outgoing as me....

"NOOOOOOOOOOO!" Kirsten screeched into our ears, causing us all to cringe.

"WHAT?!" If we weren't all stuck in here packed as close as sardines in a can, I'd be totally slapping her face about until it resembled one of Picasso's paintings.

"I forgot my mustache!!!!!!!" Kirsten wailed.

"Oh my god, Kirsten! That mustache was never a good fashion statement anyway! There's a reason why girls wax their upper lips if there's even a hint of hair, let alone a full-on Swedish mustache!"

"Yeah, but now I can't be the crazy lady when we film!!! I was just starting to enjoy my big break of stardom!" Kirsten moaned.

"Wait...that's a character?" Lanie said, confusion lacing her words.

If my hands weren't trapped under fifty pounds of clothing right now, I so would've done the classic face palm.

"It smells like shoes in here, and not new ones either!" Julie cried, making me finally take notice of the lingering smell of rubber and feet.

I wish there was a window in here. It was so hot and stuffy in here, not to mention pitch black. I had a feeling being kidnapped would be better, although being stuffed in this gym bag was pretty darn close.

Many hours later, we heard the long-awaited zipping sound of the bag's zipper and I was the first to burst out of the bag. I breathed deeply in the fresh air and Kirsten popped up beside me, gasping for air like a fish on desert sand.

I leaned over and my eyes caught sight of a humongous window with a breathtaking view. I pulled myself free from the quicksand pit of clothes and I walked over to the window, gazing out at the forest.

"Wow," I breathed. It was so beautiful and even after spending twelve hours sandwiched up against four of my friends and cousins, I knew it was totally worth it. I opened the door and walked out onto the deck, breathing in the dewy mountain air. The birds chirped somewhere off in the distance and a hummingbird whizzed past my ear. A smile stretched across my face and I felt like I was in a dream. I loved this place so much and I never wanted to leave. Where we lived in Canada was great, but nothing compared to the mountains. We didn't live near the mountains normally, so this was a delightful shock to the senses when we got to come here.

I pinched my arm, but I never woke up. I was lost in a world and I never wanted to be found and taken away from it.

Summertime at Last!

I'm flicking through the radio trying to find a good song as we zoom down the highway.

"Oooo, I love this one! Turn it up!" Lanie urges.

I turn it up loud and the rhythmic beats rock the car, pleasing our ears.

Let's go to the beach-each, let's go get away. They say, what they gonna say?!

We all belted out the song at the top of our lungs, making people in passing cars send strange looks our way. Woops, I guess we forgot our windows were rolled down! Oh well, we're having too much fun to stop! As we dance in our seats, a glimpse of the bright blue lake comes into view, and our car is filled with screams and our excitement is far from contained.

Once we've reached the beach and pull into a parking spot, we explode out of the car, and eagerly grab everything from the trunk. Our eager hands grasp onto umbrellas, folding chairs, towels, and beach bags. Our flip-flopped feet pound the cement and we're like a screaming heard of fangirls as we bolt towards the sand.

As soon as we spot an empty area, we drop everything in our arms and frantically blow up the floatable pool chairs. We throw off our t-shirts and dresses that were covering our patterned swimsuits and we splash into the water.

The water is so clear I can see my toes when I look down, but it's so cold that my whole body tenses up and I'm practically paralyzed. Luckily for me, Julie comes running in and pounces on me, sending me face first into the freezing water! As I burst up I'm choking on my laughter and I send a wave of water towards her, soaking her as much as she soaked me. After being dunked for about the billionth time, I'm finally used to the chilly temperature of the water; it's refreshing and definitely keeps you wide awake!

Swimming in the lake is one of the best things ever and it's the most fun we've had  in a long time, but as we use up all of our energy our hunger lingers in our stomachs, growling louder and louder every waking minute. We drag ourselves regretfully out of the water, only to be welcomed by mouth-watering sandwiches perfectly cut into triangles and layered with cheddary cheese and juicy sliced tomatoes. Tomato juice from my sandwich drips down my neck and the lettuce flops out and lands in my lap. My face is priceless and Julie laughs so hard that her juice squirts out of her nose, which sends us all into a fit of contagious laughter. Our lunch is accompanied by salty potato chips and chilled juice that fill our stomachs to the brim, making us lean back, too lethargic to move.

However, we spot the pristine-white wrappers of popsicles peeking out of the cooler, and we can't resist. Our hands plunge into the cooler and we swiftly rip off the wrappers, revealing vibrantly bright popsicles that will soon be licked to nothing but wooden sticks. It's not too long before we head back into the water for round two.

We're in for so long that our fingers and toes look like the wrinkliest prunes that you've ever seen, and my sopping wet hair slaps my face in the sun. The summer is finally here, and we've been counting down the days for far too long! It's here at last, and I never want it to end! I fall back into the water, and smile as the sun warms up my body right before I sink into the water, still smiling. Summer is here and I don't ever want to let it go.

The Life of an Actress...or Not?!

Felicity slowly sipped her tea, her pinky finger extended and her eyelids glamorously fluttering. Wearing her pink gown adorned with miniature pearls and trimmed with lace, she looked like a million bucks. With numerous servants waiting on her every waking minute, she felt on top of the world. If she was bored, she didn't show it. Everyone wanted to be like her. She's exactly what you'd imagine when you thought of how a rich actress would be living: bathing in their own wealth.

Reality: Me, Kanani: I woke up with a start to my annoying radio, blaring through my ears. Even fully-stuffed feather pillows wouldn't be able to block out that ridiculous ringing. How did I manage every single time to set it to the irritating BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! instead of an upbeat song from the radio to wake me up? With the sunlight blinding my eyes, I stretched as far as I could out of my bed without actually leaving it, and tried to turn my alarm off. Unfortunately I ended up clumsily knocking my nightstand over, along with the radio, a lamp, and about five different fashion magazines. Great, just great. I crawled out of bed, unplugged my radio, and took a step forward. Now I was in the kitchen! I live in probably the world's smallest apartment. Who has both a bed and their closet in their kitchen?!

I put the silver kettle on the stove, and shuffled around in my bare feet on the cold wooden floor. Digging around in the fridge and cupboard, I managed to gather up an edible breakfast. I poured some slightly stale cereal in a tiny bowl - I only owned puny bowls or large mixing bowls. I wish I could've had toast with fresh jam, but I didn't even own a toaster. Using the last few drops of milk left for my cereal, I sat down with my coffee and the newspaper from last month. The coffee tasted bitter, and my cereal didn't even have a hint of flavour.

After finishing my minimal breakfast, I grabbed a dress that I'd worn several times in the past week, and a pair of worn-out flip flops. I threw up my hair in a messy bun and disguised myself with some white Wayfarer sunglasses. Grabbing my keys in one hand, I drifted out of my apartment and into the busy, bustling city square. I didn't even know what to do. I barely had any money, since all of the money I made at my restaurant went to buying more ingredients to cook with. Life was horrible as an actress. People like Felicity should go and die in a hole, or at least stop giving everyone false expectations of the "spectacular" life of an actress.

YouTube Announcements and Updates!

The following is in Summer's point of view:

-I downloaded the most recent Windows video editor (Windows Movie Maker 2102) and although it has a couple cool new features, that it should of had in the first place, it still comes complete with UNEXPLAINABLE GLITCHES!!!! First: when I make a stop motion, when I play it (I obviously need to do this to edit it and such) it will literally freeze every five seconds. Also, in the middle of editing, it will all of a sudden decide that my video clips are missing (a reasonable reason would be if I deleted the clips off from my computer, which I've NEVER done, yet it decides that it's a fantastic idea to mess with me). So, no videos or stop motions on that for a while. I also have another video editor, but it freezes while editing, can't do stop motions, and it won't upload to YouTube...typical. Even my computer webcam won't upload to YouTube! (Luckily, I uploaded the updates video straight from the YouTube website, and it actually worked).

-I have an older sibling that has a Mac computer, and will be home in a couple weeks and will be home for about four months for Summer vacation, so I can use iMovie for the time being. I'm preparing TONS of music videos, videos, stop motions, you name it! I'm also going to be doing an awards show/ceremony! The awards won't be for all of AGtube, but really more of: Favourite doll of SummerStudiosAG etc. Although we'll have categories such as: Favourite commenter, favourite subscriber, etc. And the best part: everything will be chosen by YOU, the viewers!!! But, as soon as my sibling leaves again, I'll be without iMovie, and without anything really, but I'm saving up for a Mac, but I doubt I'll get it by the end of the summer, soo....

-I might be going to Seattle this summer (nothing is confirmed, but it's definitely a possibility) so I might do a meet up at AGP this summer!! Haha, a meet up with Summer...in the summer! xD

-I'm also experiencing YouTube issues! Just today, YouTube has:
*Switched me to a Google+ account, which I deleted because it's the stupidest things ever made.
*Privated all of my videos, so I had to go back and make them public.
*Privated all of my playlists, so I had to go back and ONE BY ONE make them public again.
*Screwed around with my channel, deleted stuff, moved stuff around, took away a bunch of stuff, and was just messing around.
*They also made my icon not appear on my channel next to/overlapping on my banner, although when I type comments on videos it shows up there!
*They also messed up a bunch of my account and channel settings, and temporarily half-deleted my account and channel, and just switched all of my settings around without my consent.

-In order to save up for a Mac, I might be opening an Etsy shop, with doll food (reasonably priced, I promise), doll clothes, etc. If I get it open, I'd really appreciate if you guys even just checked it out! :)

-If you have any video suggestions to help me so that I don't get stumped, or to help me plan for this summer (I'll also have a summer movie this year) make sure to comment on my channel, on this blog post, on the updates/announcements video (link at bottom of this post), or email me! My email is: SummerStudiosAG@hotmail.com

-Once I reach 500 subscribers (I hope I reach that many) I plan to have a contest, with real prizes! I'm thinking doll food, outfits, posters, and if I go to AGP Seattle, maybe even some store exclusives or outfits! ;) Not sure what type of contest it will be, but I'll make sure that you guys know soon!

-Lastly, click the tab at the top of this blog webpage labelled The Collab to be taken to the EPIC collab that Kanani is in, which features many other girls that are extremely nice and super! Feel free to subscribe there as well! If you want to check out my YouTube channel, just click the tab at the top of the page labelled YouTube

Love you guys, and thank-you for reading!

Crazy Filming is D-O-N-E!!!

Yo peeps! (Haha, goin a little street there! xD LOL)

Finaaaalllyy, after a week or so, Summer finally finished filming, so I can finally lie down!! I was STANDING FOR OVER A WEEK!!!

And I know that I promised I'd never talk about filming/YouTube related shtuff on this blog, so I'm reeeeally sorry! But as you know, I AM an actress, so I sort of have to. :P Of course, if SUMMER WOULD FRIGGIN JUST GET HER OWN BLOG ALREADY we wouldn't have this problem....

So, sit back, relax, and view these pictures that give you a sneak peek at the new stop motion (which is going to be a contest entry, so you know we worked EXTRA hard on it!).

Hehe, there's my hand serving shave ice! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

And here's me checking to see if there's still ice in the machine (um, duh Kanani, it's a SHAVE ICE MAKER!!!!)

Here's me saying "SO LONG SUCKAS!!" cuz I'm apparently fed up or something (gosh, someone sure has anger issues!).

And here's a photo (edited) of me! Teeehee, don't I look lovely? ;)

Thank-you for reading, and make sure to comment if you want! :)

Weekends

Don't you just love weekends? I know I do! Getting to stay in your pyjamas (Canadian spelling) all day, eating pancakes till you think you'll explode, and just lounging around the house with that cozy feeling! If you ever make pancakes, make sure to add some cinnamon in the batter; it's AMAZING!!!!! Then, squirt some whip cream on top of your stack o' pancakes, drizzle maple syrup over the top, and plop on some strawberries! That's the perfect recipe for an amazing Saturday morning!

Now, I don't mean to ruin your weekend by mentioning this, but you know what I hate: homework. Do teachers honestly think that we want to do this stuff?! They complain when they have to mark our assignments, and here we are, working from after school till the middle of the night, and all weekend on stupid work! Seriously, Summer's school needs to stop priding themselves on being one of the top schools in Canada, because they're pushing everyone too hard!

This may seem crazy, but you should try to get your homework done sooner than later, so then you don't ruin your weekend by putting it off and thinking about the dread of doing it later! Do it on Friday after school, and then your weekend is free for you to do whatever you want!

What do YOU like to put on your pancakes? Or do you have some other super-special weekend breakfast creation? Take a picture of your amazing, delicious breakfast, and send it to the SummerStudiosAG email for a chance to be in one of our upcoming videos! The email: SummerStudiosAG@hotmail.com

Send your picture as an attachment to the email, or copy and paste it onto the email, or both in case we can't view one properly. Make sure to include your YouTube username if you have a YouTube account, and if not, just include your first name (if you're allowed to give it out, that is). Any questions? Comment on this post (you don't need a blogger account to do so, just comment as a "guest").

Have fun making breakfast! :D
